Dr. Allie Nadelson is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical retina.
Dr. Nadelson received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and graduated Magna Cum Laude from medical school in Puerto Rico.
After completing her internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Nadelson completed her ophthalmology residency and served as chief resident at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island.
She then completed her medical retina fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. During her fellowship, Dr. Nadelson became proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of a multitude of medical retina problems, including wet and dry macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vitreous detachment (floaters), retinal tears, and vascular occlusions.
In addition to her expertise in interpreting Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and fluorescein angiography, two in-office diagnostic tests for a variety of retinal diseases. Dr. Nadelson is one of the first retina specialists in the New York City area to offer the next generation in retina and glaucoma diagnosis, OCT-A, an advanced form of OCT testing.
